Sunrise Mobile Apps ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use Color Diary — a personal journaling and mood-tracking application available on Google Play.
1. Information We Collect
- Journal & Diary Content: The text, titles, and entries you write in your diary. This content is stored locally on your device and, if you choose to enable cloud backup, synced to your personal Google Drive account.
- Mood & Emotion Data: Mood tags, emotion selections, and habit-tracking records you input within the app. This data is stored locally on your device.
- Photos & Media: Images and videos you attach to journal entries. Media files are stored locally on your device. If cloud backup is enabled, they may be synced to your personal Google Drive account. We do not upload your media to our own servers.
- Audio Recordings: Voice memos you record within the app are stored locally on your device. If cloud backup is enabled, audio files may be synced to your personal Google Drive account. We do not upload audio recordings to our own servers.
- Biometric Data: If you enable the fingerprint lock feature, your biometric data is processed entirely by the Android system on your device. We do not access, store, or transmit your biometric information.
- Personal Data: When you contact our support team, you may provide your name and email address.
- Usage Data: We automatically collect information about your device (model, operating system, unique device identifiers) and how you interact with our app (features used, session duration). This helps us improve app performance.
- Analytics & Crash Reports: We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app performance and diagnose crashes.
- Advertising Identifiers: To deliver and measure ads, we and our advertising partners may collect your advertising ID (Google Ad ID) and related identifiers.
- Purchase Information: If you subscribe to Color Diary Pro, Google Play processes your payment. We receive confirmation of your purchase status but do not receive your payment card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Color Diary app and its features.
- To enable cloud backup and restore of your journal data via Google Drive (only when you explicitly authorize this).
- To personalize your experience, including delivering themes, prompts, and content tailored to your usage.
- To send you reminders and notifications you have configured in the app's reminder settings.
- To communicate with you, including support responses and important service notices.
- To monitor and analyze usage trends to enhance user experience and app stability.
- To serve relevant advertisements through our advertising partners.
- To process and validate your in-app subscription status.
3. Google Drive Cloud Backup
Color Diary offers an optional cloud backup feature that uses your personal Google Drive account. When you authorize this feature:
- Your journal entries, media attachments, and app data are backed up to a dedicated folder in your own Google Drive account.
- We access Google Drive solely to read and write your Color Diary backup files. We do not access any other files in your Google Drive.
- You can revoke this access at any time via your Google account settings or within the app.
- Your backup data stored in Google Drive is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Disclosure of Your Information
We will not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal data with third parties except:
- Service Providers: We may share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf (e.g., analytics, crash reporting, hosting, customer support).
- Advertising Partners: We share advertising identifiers with our ad network partners to display ads. See Section 5 for the full list of ad partners.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law or to respond to valid legal process.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Third-Party SDKs and Advertisers
Color Diary integrates the following third-party SDKs for analytics, crash reporting, and advertising. Each SDK collects data directly from your device and is governed by its own privacy policy:
6. User Choices and Controls
- Cloud Backup: Cloud backup is opt-in. You can enable or disable it at any time in the app's backup settings.
- App Lock: Fingerprint and PIN lock features are optional. You can disable them in the app's security settings.
- Reminders: You can disable or modify notification reminders in the app settings or via your device notification settings.
- Opt-Out of Analytics: You may opt out of analytics tracking by disabling diagnostic & usage data in your device settings.
- Ad Personalization: You can opt out of personalized ads by adjusting ad settings in your Google account or resetting your device's advertising identifier.
- Data Deletion: You can permanently delete all your local and cloud backup data at any time by navigating to Settings > Delete All Data within the app. Since we do not store your data on our servers, this action will completely remove your information from your device and your personal Google Drive (if cloud backup was enabled).
- Data Access: Contact us at sunrisecoreapps@gmail.com to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.
7. Data Storage and Retention
Your journal content, mood records, audio recordings, and media attachments are stored locally on your device by default. We do not store your diary content on our own servers. If you enable cloud backup, your data is stored in your personal Google Drive account, which you control. We retain support correspondence for up to 2 years.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use mobile identifiers (such as advertising IDs) and similar technologies to facilitate app analytics and advertising. You can limit collection by resetting your advertising ID or adjusting your device settings.
9. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. Your journal data resides on your own device and, optionally, in your own Google Drive account. The optional PIN and fingerprint lock features add an additional layer of protection within the app. However, no electronic storage is 100% secure. Use the app at your own risk.
10. Children's Privacy
Color Diary is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately so we can remove it.
11. International Users
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, rectify, or erase your data. Please contact us to exercise these rights.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post the updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
